Dont go to Goa! This must be the most run down resort in the world,Garbage everywere,Beaches are unclean.Taxis charge what ever they like.30 Brititish touristists die there every year.The government of Goa is one of the most corrupt in the world,and is generally anti forreiner...Maleria and dengue fever is at epidemic proportions particulary in the North,Candolim and Calangute .Is now not a cheap destination and sure to dissapoint.Rivers are polluted above normal limits with e coli.The famous Goan smile masks a devious methed to extract your money or if u r female your dignity as well.Infrastucture is basically zero since no money is pumped into tourism,I could go on,but this resort(I use the word loosely)should be boycotted until they get their act together
Thanks a ton for highlighting the nuinsance created by tourists , i am not sure if you are one of them. These are the ones responsible for the unclean beaches, polluted rivers & garbage litter. As a goan passionate about his state, i too feel bad about the state of affairs with regards to corruption ( better by any standards to other states ). That is the same resilience and tolerance we have shown as a people to the 'outsiders' or 'biknekars' coming and setting up the real estate and construction business in our state making the place more expensive to live in and causing all the water collections areas with their construction activities for dengue and malaria transmitting mosquitoes to breed. Regarding our integtrity and that of our females, we are not hypocrites. We are a honest and straightforward people, and there are always bad apples in a basket. By the way all of the prostitutes in Baina are from outside states. I do believe a movement is about to begin in Goa and then the Goan will assert himself. I agree with ingridryna, PLEASE DO NOT STEP INTO GOA.
Hi dontgotogoa, True, Please don't come here. We are fed up with all kinds of people coming to Goa and screwing up this once beautiful place. As for infrastructure, we're quite happy with what we have. It can be improved but you don't have to worry your head over it - just keep away from Goa.
